Esther Alofamoni Savusa

Esther Alofamoni Savusa-Savini passed away peacefully on April 24, 2021, in her home surrounded by her loved ones. 

Esther was born on May 16, 1955 in the village of Vaitogi, American Samoa. Her parents are the late Tauileva Savusa and Sinaualo Ieremia Savusa. She is survived by her son Konrad (January) and her daughter Frances, along with 5 beautiful grandchildren. 

Esther dedicated her life to the service of others, and most notably as a humble servant of God.

In her early years, she was a flight stewardess for South Pacific Island Airways and was also a musician for Tihati Productions.

Throughout her life, Esther sought to strengthen her relationship with God and to spread her love for Him through her passion for music and teaching through spiritual leadership. Esther and her late husband Rev. Filifiliauro Savini were called to serve in the ministry for the people of Aunu’u, American Samoa from 1998-2007.

Before returning home to Oahu in 2017, Esther held a position with Homeland Security as Training and Exercise Coordinator/State Training Officer with the Department of Homeland Security.

Esther’s legacy that is grounded in faith, family, and culture, will live on forever through all the lives she touched.

Her celebration of life will be held on June 12, 2021, at Kanana Fou Congregational Christian Church located at 94-261 Kunia Road, Ewa Beach, HI. Public viewing will commence at 9:00 a.m., with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Nu’uanu Memorial Park & Mortuary.
